Well Gang, its finally over at the Casablanca. The last Northern Soul doo sat the cassy was last night, with the weather and economic situation our numbers were well down, it was the poorest attended function we have had there, although that was still about three times more than our rivals poor attempts. Even with certain parties saying dont go as it will be freezing, shows the depths some scared individuals will go to try and undermine the strength of the collective. So how was the night? Smucker kicked off with a nice slection of crossover tunes that took me back to the latter part of the Winter gardens, next up was Nick who selected a far more 70's orientated set which I am told he enjoyed, a feeling shared by a few dancers. Next up Little Jo, From Neo's "Smile" to Norma Jenkins - Can you Imagine that, Jo entertained the attendee's who danced all the way through her set,. Jo's take on what needs to played and danced to shone through like a good un. I always say that a DJ who dances regular has a better understanding of the floor. Chris dalton took to the decks and played an\ excellent spot kicking of with I Want My Baby Back - Ethics to some great classic tracks. It was the longest period Chris had not danced. Coops (aka Mush) mopped up the remaining dancers requests and played one of my favourite Robert John tracks...Good On Yer Coops...kept Gaz quiet for nearly 3 minutes...now thats a bonus. Considering the depleted numbers it was a good night with a nice atmosphere, plenty of good light hearted chatting with a number of folks I consider as friends. Good bye to the Casablanca and hello 1 KINGS ROAD...YES WE ARE COMING HOME..BACK TO CLEETHORPES. As geographically close to the Winter Gardens as possible ...well other than holding it in the bus shelter. Look forward to 21st March

If the numbers remain the same as last night you only need a bus shelter! ;D
